As part of The Friday Late for the V&A Hollywood Costume Exhibition, The Live Literature Company celebrated its 10th Anniversary inviting everybody to come dressed as their favourite Hollywood character.

Photo of Val below greeting everyone at the 10th Anniversary Party. She read a handwritten card sent to her by Sir John Gielgud in response to research she was doing, and said The Live Literature Company had always followed Gielgud's example of quality performance. The company received good wishes and congratulations from the USA, India, Bagladesh, France, Italy and Portugal.

Greetings and congratulations from celebrated writers came from Sir Tom StoppardAlan Bennett, and Brian Friel, writers who have supported the company since it was launched.

Greetings and congratulations from actors included messages from Sir Derek Jacobi Huge good luck!, John Shrapnel I hope it goes well and is a fitting celebration for your company - which you should be extremely proud of! and from Anna Carteret Sadly I am playing 'Maman' in Uncle Vanya at The Vaudeville. But I shall be with you in spirit.

Many of the actors and musicians who have performed in the company's shows were at the party. The Bronte Company, The Byron Company, The Jane Austen Company, The Milton Company, The David Jones Company, as well as performers who have worked with Val on past shows. Lots of members and friends of The Live Literature Company also shared the evening. It was great to see everybody.
